I know I know, the sequels are never as good as the original but I’ve been doing too much fishing to be able to keep up on the blogging front so here we go, in no particular order…
We have had a good run of weather in the last few months so I’ve been getting stuck into the micro jigging with plenty of fun times going down with some good mates.
I even managed to pick up the floppy stick and re-learnt to cast… This resulted in 3 new species on the fluff in a single session, coral trout, a tuskfish and the holy grail – an 82cm permit.
In April my mate Pete come up for a month of fishing, we hit up Hinchinbrook for a few days and struggled real hard so we ended up trekking up into the freshwater and scoping out some pristine jungle perch habitat.
Pete and I had a trip out west chasing toga where we found the fish playing hard to get, the big sootys were out in force however which made for a bit of fun.
And what would this be without some barra pics…
Ok, well that’s it for now. I will have another blog ready for you within the next few days with a bit of a report from a recent adventure down south with some pretty epic fishing going down.
Thanks for looking and stay tuned!!
